IPAT often fields calls from individuals looking for a place to donate used hearing aids. This blog provides a non-exhaustive list of organizations that recycle used hearing aids in North Dakota.

  1. HERO (Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization – 5212 53rd Street S, Suite C – Fargo, ND 701-212-1921
  2. ND Hands & Voices Loaner Bank – 101 3rd Avenue SW, Suite 203 – Minot, ND 701-857-7916

All three of the North Dakota non-profits noted above partner with the Starkey Hearing Foundation, located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Once they receive the used hearing aids, they repair, recondition or refurbish them, and then distribute them both domestically and internationally to children and adults in need. As a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, the Starkey Hearing Foundation has pledged to fit more than 1 million hearing aids in this decade.

Help them help others! Donate your used hearing aids to one of the North Dakota non-profits listed, or send them directly to the Starkey Hearing Foundation. To do that, follow the directions provided here. Act now to be part of changing lives by donating the gift of hearing. You can be the difference in the life of another.
