Device Reuse
(or free stuff)
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Our device reuse program is like an assistive technology thrift store where everything is FREE!
The items we make available for device reuse include those donated to us (many of which have never been used), and devices we may have updated in our inventory or just don’t have enough space to store.
It’s one of our favorite programs because it allows us to help people who are in a hurry to get the device and waiting for an application to go through will take too long.
It also helps those who won’t qualify for some of our other programs.
How it Works
- The best way to find out if we have something you can use is to give us a call or fill out the Contact Us forms (buttons at the top of every page on our site).
- We’ll let you know what items in our inventory might best help with your needs.
- Once you identify the right device, we’ll ask you to fill out a one-minute form so we can use it for our federal reporting and you’re on your way.
- The device is now yours. No questions asked, and no follow up needed.
- However – once you are done using it, and if it’s in good shape, we’ll gladly take it back for the next person to use.
- All of the items in our inventory are also listed on our online database: nd.at4all.com
- Make sure you are signed in or you won’t be able to add to your cart later. If you don’t have an account yet, please create one. The button for that is on the top left of the screen right below our logo.
- The best way to find something on this site is to click on Item List in the column on the left of the screen.
- In the Program box near the top of the page, click on the drop down arrow, and select ND Assistive: Device Reutilization
- You can use the Search option at the top of the page to find items specifically available in the Device Reuse inventory or you can scroll through the list.
- To acquire the device, add it to your cart and proceed to the checkout.
- We’d prefer you find a way to get to our Demonstration Center to pick up the item as we don’t have a designated budget for shipping.
Are the devices really free?
Yes. No strings attached.
What types of assistive devices are available?
We never really know at any given time what items are available in our Device Reuse inventory. That’s why contacting us or checking out our online database are good ways to explore the inventory.
We’ll also try to update the section below regularly to let you know about a few of the devices presently available. It won’t be an extensive overview of the entire inventory, but it will highlight some of the useful devices.

Reminder Rosie
Personal voice recording reminder.
This device allows care partners to record their own voice for reminders that Rosie announces on the schedule they set. It’s perfect for people who may be uncomfortable with someone else’s voice or alarm bells set for reminders.
