I am in full Black Friday mode and primed for all those great deals! If you are like me, you get excited and wait all year for the Black Friday shopping. For many years I have tracked the great deals by studying all the sale ads both in print and online the weekend before Thanksgiving. But now with all the online shopping available from even 10 years ago, retailers have started about a week prior with earlier sales.
Like every other retailer, Amazon Black Friday deals will also start to appear a week earlier, starting Friday, November 22 and run through Black Friday. Amazon will be releasing multiple deals a day at amazon.com/blackfriday with deals across every category you can imagine.
This year, Amazon announced customers can also shop at smile.amazon.com for the same great Amazon shopping experience, plus AmazonSmile will donate a portion of the purchase price of eligible products to a participating charity of your choice.
What is AmazonSmile? It is a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of your purchase price to the charitable organization of your choice.
Fun fact, Assistive is a participating charitable organization with the AmazonSmile program. So why not support & donate to Assistive while you are already going to be shopping all of the great Amazon Black Friday deals!
If you shop on smile.amazon.com using an internet browser on your computer, mobile phone or tablet, then your products (marked “eligible for AmazonSmile donation”) will result in donations. Purchases that are not made using an internet browser (Amazon Shopping App, Kindle Store, Fire TV, Amazon Dash or Amazon Echo) are not currently eligible for donations.

So start making your AmazonSmile purchase plans for some huge discounts to start November 22 and choose “Assistive” as the charitable organization. Keep your eye on the “upcoming deals” tab and make sure to have your account updated with current payment information and an address where it will be shipped.
