If you are a user of assistive technology or have a family member that is, read on!
IPAT is looking for AT users or their family members to serve on our Consumer Advisory Council (CAC). The purpose of the CAC is to provide consumer-responsive, consumer-driven advice to IPAT for the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities provided under the Assistive Technology Act.
Why you? Because you have been there! It is your insight that IPAT needs, and as a CAC member you will have the opportunity to share your AT experiences, both successful and frustrating. Your grass-roots experiences contain the information IPAT needs to understand what is and is not working when delivering AT services statewide.
What are you signing on to? CAC members meet twice a year, typically in Bismarck, and participate in two conference calls. Members need to be able to receive communication by phone and email. Training is provided for new members; and travel, lodging and meals are reimbursed when required for CAC activities.
We are seeking applicants of all ages, representing any disability, from anywhere in North Dakota. If you are interested in serving on the CAC and need additional information, please call 800-895-4728.
