Pedaling for Possibilities (P4P) recipient Ruth Barnes shares her story.
“I live in Grand Forks, North Dakota. I have spinal stenosis which causes me a lot of lower back pain. That stenosis is now going into my neck as well. Before I received my lift chair I had difficulty sitting down and standing up. I recently received a lift chair through IPAT’s Pedaling for Possibilities Program. Now I am able to to get up and down much more easily. With my lift chair I am able to recline to a comfortable position and am able to keep a hot or cold pack on my neck or back as needed to relieve the pain. Then once I am up and out of my chair I use a cane or walker to move about my home and engage in my everyday activities. I am so grateful for what I have received. It has helped me so much!”
Assistive Technology (AT), like the lift chair, frees people! We currently have individuals waiting for P4P funds so they too, can thrive independently. Help others, like Ruth, by donating to Pedaling for Possibilities. Become a Possibility Maker!
